Construction is complete on two Woolacotts education projects in Western Australia – Canning Vale College and Cape Naturaliste College.
Canning Vale College
Canning Vale College is located in a rapidly growing area just 20 kilometres from Perth.
The year seven learning block project at Canning Vale College, designed by Hassell and built by Robinson Build-Tech, was completed in June.
Woolacotts engineers worked closely with the builder to ensure the builder could work as efficiently as possible, leading to the project being completed two weeks ahead of schedule.
The project involved the addition of a new 800 square metre learning block with raft slabs and a steel-framed roof. Significant associated works also include the relocation of four existing transportable classroom units, and the establishment of six new transportable classroom units.
Woolacotts completed the structural and civil engineering design.
Cape Naturaliste College
The Cape Naturaliste College year seven block, also designed by Hassell and built by BCG Construction, was also completed in June.
Cape Naturaliste College is located in Vasse, 240 kilometres south west of Perth.
Woolacotts completed the structural and civil engineering design for the new single storey learning block, as well as the addition of a new 500 square metre learning block, car parking, drop off areas, and realignment of an access road.
“The successful delivery of these two projects further strengthens our education experience in Western Australia,” said Woolacotts education sector leader Edmond Choi.
