Woolacotts was engaged by Spackman Mossop Michaels to deliver this project to incorporate a cycleway and upgraded pedestrian corridor into the existing roadway and transit systems.
The cycleway stretches from Syd Einfeld Drive to Bronte Road, via Oxford, Denison and Spring Streets, and is a mix of separated on-road and two-step profiles.
This created a highly accessible, regional connection between the City and the Eastern Suburbs.

To test the configuration of the existing streetscape along the extent of works to include a separated cycle path
Reinforce differing street character along the extent of works
The preliminary design proposal should have the ability to attract all user types especially women and children.
To create a sense of place and reinforce a pedestrian focus for the Bondi Junction town centre.
The concept street designs were drafted using the Complete Streets principles for creating a safe and efficient town centre that lends itself to spontaneous activity, public art, and robust and purposeful landscaping.
To remain competitive and promote healthy living and attract people and businesses a city must be walkable.
The complete streets principles work to stimulate economic growth by creating attractive places with greater street activity and encouraging the length of time spent in the town centre.
