The ‘nation building economic stimulus plan’ included $16.2 billion over three years for the ‘building the education revolution’ (BER) program, which funded the building and rebuilding of primary and secondary school infrastructure and maintenance in Australia’s schools.
In NSW, Woolacotts was a prime supplier of civil, structural and hydraulic engineering services to Brookfield Multiplex and AbiGroup.
Engineering services were provided on more than 130 primary schools throughout the metropolitan areas of Western Sydney.
Exceptional solutions
We saved each school project several thousands of dollars by developing a standardised steel design to assist with the efficient fabrication of steel work and speed of construction.
At its peak, contractors were delivering one new completed building that was designed by Woolacotts every three days.
Detailed steelwork was designed and specified for a wide variety of school buildings approved by the federal government.
Our extensive involvement in the BER program demonstrates our ability to deliver on large scale multi site projects with high political visibility.
