The Loddon Prison project involves a 120 bed expansion to the existing prison in Castlemaine, Victoria.
Loddon Prison is a medium security prison in Central Victoria, four kilometres from the centre of Castlemaine and about one and a half hours from Melbourne.
Project scope
The project scope includes additions to the medium security facility, including:
— Six two storey accomodation units
— Administration and reception
— Reception and visitor facilities
— Warehouse and industries building
— Staff and visitor car parking
— Management unit (four cells)
— Medical and recreation facilities
— Education facility
— External fence
— External access road
Our role
Woolacotts was engaged to provide structural and civil engineering consultancy services on the project. The project is currently at the design development and early works documentation stage.
